Men’s Season Ticket Changes
Scholarship Seating Program
- To acquire Men’s Basketball season tickets, a per-seat donation is now required. This per-seat donation goes directly to help fund student-athlete scholarships.
- Prices vary by seat location and are consistent for both Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center. Seating charts and donation costs can be found below for your reference.
Women’s Season Ticket Changes
- Although a per-seat donation is not required for Women’s Basketball season tickets, select 100-level sections in both Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center may require patrons to be current members of the Husky Athletic Fund.
- Become a Husky Athletic Fund member by making a minimum $100 donation to any athletic cause, including per-seat donations for Men’s Basketball and Football season tickets which directly support student-athlete scholarships.
What About Points?
The Husky Athletic Fund uses a priority point system to fairly allocate donor benefits. Priority points are allocated based upon percentages of donations made to the Husky Athletic Fund, as well as consecutive years given. This process seeks to reward both longevity and gift amount when establishing priorities. During the conversion to the new season ticket programs—starting with the 2019–20 donor year (4/1/19–3/31/20)—you will maintain your current point totals, and your point-earning potential has increased.
- Unrestricted/Restricted Giving to Athletics (Husky Excellence and Husky Annual Scholarship, Sport-Specific, Capital Projects, Endowments, etc.): 10 points per $100.
- Seat Donations (Football & Men’s Basketball): 5 points per $100
- Consecutive Years of Giving: 10 points per year*
- Season Ticket Purchases (Football, Men’s/Women’s Basketball, Men’s Ice Hockey): 2 points per ticket purchased
- UConn Graduate: 50 points (one-time)
- UConn Former Student-Athlete: 100 points (one-time)
Example 1: Donor pledged $2,000 to the Husky Athletic Village and Performance Complex (restricted fund) and has a per-seat donation of $800. They will receive 240 priority points (200 for unrestricted, 40 for per-seat donation).
Example 2: Donor pledged $600 to the Husky Excellence Fund (unrestricted fund) and has a per-seat donation of $400. They will receive 80 priority points (60 for unrestricted, 20 for per-seat donation).
Example 3: Donor pledged $10,000 to an athletic scholarship (restricted fund) and has a per-seat donation of $800. They will receive 1040 priority points (1000 for restricted, 40 for per-seat donation).
Example 4: Donor pledged $100 to the UConn Golf team (restricted fund) and has a per-seat donation of $100. They will receive 15 priority points (10 for restricted, 5 for per-seat donation).
*Husky Athletic Fund counting from the current year back to 2018–19. A minimum gift of $100 each year is necessary to qualify. Earned points may decrease if a donor does not donate to the Husky Athletic Fund (minimum of $100) in consecutive years. In this scenario, the donor will lose consecutive years of giving priority points previously accumulated.
If a commitment is not fulfilled, the donor will lose points associated with the commitment. Priority points for matching gifts will be awarded once the matching gift is received.
Priority Points will not be awarded for special event donations such as registration fees, auction items, event ticket purchases, sponsorships, etc.
Aside from the one-time priority points and ticket transfer allowed prior to the 2019–20 season, points and/or season tickets may not be transferred from one person to another or from one account to another. Also, the University does not transfer priority points or tickets by the virtue of wills. In the event of the death of an account holder or season ticket holder, the surviving spouse (the definition of spouse is consistent with the applicable federal law) retains the priority points, providing the surviving spouse is on the account at the time of death. No other immediate family members, friends or other entities will qualify for the transfer of priority points or tickets.
Priority point policies and procedures are subject to change.
